My Wife Saundra & Me
Since you came here you must be interested in knowing a little about me, well here goes.
I was born and raised in Iowa. I have spent all of my life here except for the 5 years I lived in Kansas City, Missouri and 4 1/2 years in Atlanta, Georgia. I met my wife Saundra while living in Kansas City and we have been married for 32 years. We have 2 girls, Tera and Summer, and 2 boys, Justin and Jeremy. Our kids are very talented and they all like to draw, just like good ole dad LOL. We also have 5 Grandsons, and 2 Grand Daughters.
I have a wide variety of interests, including drawing, painting, horses, wildlife, science fiction, photography and a lot more. My wife often tells me that I have too many hobbies.

Ever since I can remember I have liked to draw. While I was in kindergarten I won a contest with a drawing of a house I did. The teacher said the reason I won was because my house was the only one where the chimney was straight. All the other kids pictures had the chimney at a right angle to the roof. My teacher said I had a good eye for detail.
In school I would get in trouble sometimes because I would be drawing instead of doing my school work. My art teacher in high school helped to inspire me a lot. He would work it out so I could spend time in the art class instead of gym or study hall.

My parents encouraged me a lot when I was growing up. My Dad would tell me how he liked to draw as a child. He also loved horses as well as other animals. I guess I inherited my love of art and animals from him.
I enjoy working in a variety of mediums including pencil, watercolor, acrylics, oils, and mixed medium. My favorite medium is pencil. I am usually drawing something most of the time. I also enjoy designing computer graphics and websites.
When it comes to my art work, I am my own worst critic. It bugs the heck out of me if one of my drawings doesn't look right. My wife say's I am too much of a perfectionist. I guess that's what drives me to be better.
Hopefully someday I'll be able to sell my artwork, and become a professional artist. So far most of my art work has been given to friends and family.
I hope I haven't bored you too much.

Thanks,
Art
